Super Eagles Forward, Nollywood Actress Welcome Baby Boy

Super Eagles forward Peter Olayinka and his wife, Nollywood actress Yetunde Barnabas, have welcomed their second child, a baby boy, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

The couple, who married in 2021, expanded their family three years after the birth of their first child. Olayinka announced the arrival of their newborn on Friday through a brief post on social media, sharing photos of himself, Barnabas and the baby.

“Our bundle of joy is here, Olayinka Jr,” he wrote, prompting a wave of congratulatory messages from fans, colleagues and well-wishers.

Actress Mide Martins, a close friend of Barnabas, also celebrated the news, describing the baby’s birth as a “miracle” and expressing heartfelt excitement for the family.

The couple has yet to release further details, including the baby’s full name, but more updates are expected in the coming days.

The Albanian Football Association made several attempts to convince Peter Olayinka to become the first African player to represent Albania, citing his exceptional talent. At the time, Olayinka expressed openness to the idea, noting that he would consider playing for Albania if granted citizenship.

However, in September 2019, he received his first call-up to the Nigerian national team for an international friendly against Brazil, effectively ending prospects of an Albanian switch. Since making his debut in 2019, Olayinka has earned four caps for the Super Eagles.
