Super Eagles and Girondin Bordeaux striker, Josh Maja, has been voted as the player of the month in the French Ligue 2, BSNSports.com.ng has gathered.

Maja spent last season on a loan at the English championship club Birmingham FC and he was able to distinguish himself in his short spell.

He was on the verge of returning to England permanently before he decided to stay in France with Bordeaux.

His stay seems to be yielding dividends as he continues to show amazing performance in the league.

The French Ligue 2 board on Thursday announced Maja as the player of the month for October.

Maja has scored 7 goals in 15 appearances for Bordeaux this season as they continue to chase a promotion ticket back to the elite division
