The Super Eagles of Nigeria are scheduled to arrive in Fez, Morocco, on Thursday, December 18, 2025, as preparations intensify for their opening match of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON), BSNSports.com.ng reports.

The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) confirmed in an official statement that the team will depart Cairo, Egypt, on a chartered flight to Morocco. The Super Eagles have been in Cairo for final preparations, including an international friendly against the host nation.

A total of 27 players were present in Egypt for the training camp, while star forward Victor Osimhen is expected to link up with the squad before the team’s departure to Morocco, according to team officials.

Nigeria suffered a 2–1 defeat to Egypt’s Pharaohs in Tuesday night’s friendly encounter. Following the match, the three-time African champions undertook a recovery session at the gym on Wednesday morning as part of their tournament preparations.

The Super Eagles will begin their AFCON 2025 campaign on Tuesday, December 23, against Tanzania. They will subsequently face Tunisia on December 27 and conclude their Group C fixtures against Uganda on December 31.
