The Leone Stars of Sierra Leone have concluded plans to arrive Conakry, Guinea Wednesday (today) ahead of their 2023 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against the Super Eagles of Nigeria.

In the group A opener, Josh Keister’s men will face the Super Eagles next week Thursday at the Moshood Abiola Stadium, Abuja in their quest for the AFCON finals in Côte d'Ivoire.

The decision to resume camping in Conakry according to the nation's football Federation was due to the fact that the world football governing body, FIFA nad CAF have not approved their original home ground - Siaka Staeven Stadium in Freetown.

To this end, Sierra Leone will host the Djurtus of Guinea-Bissau four days after facing Nigeria at the General Lasana Conte Stadium in Conakry.

Keister and his technical crew members are expected to hit Conakry on Wednesday (today).

Keister has listed 25 players for both games.

Prominent among the players are; captain Steve Caulker, Queen Park Rangers defender Osman Kakay, Mohammed Buya Turay and Augustus Kargbo of FC Crotone.

The Leone Stars were eliminated at the group stage of the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations in Cameroon
