Super Eagles Striker Backs Eguavoen To Become Substantive Coach

Nigerian International Anthony Ujah has backed the technical director of the Nigeria Football Federation, Austin Eguavoen, to continue as the Super Eagles coach, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

Ujah made the statement during a chat with Brila FM radio Lagos 

Eguavoen was in charge of the team for the opening days of the 2025 African Cup of Nations qualifier.

Former Germany based attacker believed the players has respect for Eguavoen.

"The team is in a transitional phase, moving from coach José Peseiro to finding a new coach.

"Eguavoen as the interim manager is one thing I’m really happy about.

" l don’t know how long he’ll be there, but he’s a good man, and the players respect him", he said
