Super Eagles Supporter Club Holds Maiden NEC Meeting, Ratifies April Election

The Super Eagles Supporters Club on Wednesday in Abuja held their first National Executive Council meeting to ratify the 1st April election that ushered in the Executive Members, BSNSports.com.ng can report.

The newly elected president of the Association, Barrister Johnson Dagana while speaking with BSN Sports in Abuja added that the meeting aided them to fashion out plans on how over 200 members of Association will be able to travel to different countries to give maximum support to national teams participating in different international competitions.

"Today we held our first Executive Members meeting after the 1st April Election. This is necessary because we need to gather and plan ahead on how to galvanise our people in support of various Super Eagles matches and of course how we can begin to launch a female chapter and prepare our members to give necessary supports to all national teams. The president told BSN Sports

He added, "We have the U17 AFCON coming up in Algeria, we also have FIFA U20 World Cup in Argentina and of course, the Super Falcons participating at the FIFA Women's world Cup in Australia and New Zealand.

We have plans to mobilise over 200 of our members to be in these various competitions that are coming up. So we won't be able to achieve all these without supports from corporate bodies, individuals that can give support to us to be able to meet up our financial demand.

He continued, "We also discussed on the need for the election to be conducted in some of the few chapters.

Also speaking, Mr Obadiah, the immediate past National Counselor of Super Eagles Supporters Club said the essence of the National Executive Members meeting held in Abuja on Wednesday was to ratify the election.

"The essence of this NEC meeting is to ratify the election that ushered in the new Executive Members and this is what we are doing, ratifying what we have done on the 1st of April, 2023. And also to give legitimacy to the EXCO to begin to move into action." He concluded.
