Super Falcons: My Time Will Come – Opeyemi Ajakaiye

Falconets striker, Opeyemi Ajakaiye, has expressed confidence that her time to become a regular in the Super Falcons will soon arrive, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

The 19-year-old forward, whose club career has been somewhat unstable, has found herself moving in and out of the national team setup.

Speaking with The Punch, the talented attacker remained optimistic about reclaiming her spot with the senior women’s team.

“I was with the Super Falcons once. Nigeria has not given up on me, and I haven’t given up either. I know my time will come, and everyone will say, ‘This is the Ajakaiye we know.’ I will come back again. My time is coming,” she said.

Ajakaiye added that she continues to push herself because she has people depending on her.

“If I relent, then I’ll be the one who failed because I have a lot of people I want to help, including my family. There are many things I want to achieve through football, and I believe God will crown my efforts,” she concluded.
