Super Falcons' Ogbonna Left With Swollen Face After Besiktas Victory Over Fomget Genclik

Super Falcons defender, Glory Ogbonna who plays for Turkish club Besiktas JK has been left with a swollen face after her team defeated Fomget Genclik one-nil, BSNSports.com.ng reports. 

In a picture uploaded to her X social media handle, Ogbonna said it was an incredible victory for her team despite suffering the injury due to clashing of heads. 

"It was an incredible away win for us today against the league champions Fomget Gençlik (0-1) as we storm them in their home.

"Even with blood rushing down my eyes as a result of area battle elbow on me, I still stood firm to defend our victory. Thank you Lord for giving us this day."

Ogbonna, who formerly played with Edo Queens in the Nigeria Women Football League, currently plays for Besiktas in the Turkish Women's Football Super League.
