Super Falcons' WAFCON Warm-Up Friendly Against Tanzania Rescheduled For Thursday

Nigeria's Super Falcons will now take on Tanzania's Twiga Stars in an international friendly on Thursday as part of their final preparations for the 2026 Women's Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) in Morocco, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

The warm-up fixture was rescheduled as the nine-time African champions continue fine-tuning their squad ahead of the continental tournament, which kicks off this weekend.

The Super Falcons will begin their WAFCON campaign against Malawi in their opening Group B match, with the encounter expected to provide an early test of Nigeria's title ambitions.

The friendly against the Twiga Stars is expected to give head coach Justine Madugu another opportunity to assess his players, finalise his preferred starting lineup, and sharpen the team's tactics before the opening game.

Nigeria will be aiming to make a strong start against Malawi as they seek to reclaim the African title in Morocco.
