Super Falcons Camp Bubbles As Ordega Arrives

The camp of Nigeria's Super Falcons brightened up a notch within the last 24 hours, with the arrival of CSKA Moscow star - Francisca Ordega to the campsite, Gold Coast Sports & Leisure Center in Queensland, Australia, to make it 22 players in attendance.

Bsnsports.com.ng can report that Francisca Ordega, who last featured for her Russian club side in the last week of June 2023 against Yenisey made it to the sunny side of Queensland to join the merry band of the Falcons in training towards the 2023 FIFA Women's World Cup less than two weeks away. 

Today makes it day seven after the team landed in the Gold Coast, and day five of training exercises, with clips emerging from camp showing players in their bibs engaging in drills, tracks, and stretches. 

The Randy Waldrum-led side still awaits the arrival of one more player invited to the squad, FC Rosengàrd midfielder Halimatu Ayinde who also featured in her club's 2-1 win over Norrkòping in the Swedish Damallsvenskan just over a week ago.

With the team's captain Onome Ebi debunking rumors emanating from the media in recent times of a planned boycott by the players, Nigerian fans globally can cross their fingers while expecting a satisfying campaign from the topmost-rated African team at the 2023 edition of the FIFA Women's World Cup.
