Nigeria international Ashleigh Plumptre has signed a contract extension with Saudi Women's Premier League side Al Ittihad Ladies, committing her future to the club until 2028, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

The Super Falcons defender agreed to fresh terms that will keep her at the Jeddah-based club for the next two years.

Al Ittihad confirmed the extension in a statement on their official channels, saying: "Ashley Palmer continues with the Brigadier until 2028."

Plumptre joined Al Ittihad after leaving English club Leicester City and has since become one of the team's most influential players.

Her consistent performances, versatility, and leadership at the back have made her a key figure for the Saudi side.

The new deal comes as a significant boost for Al Ittihad as the club continues to strengthen its squad in pursuit of success in the Saudi Women's Premier League.

Meanwhile, the 27-year-old is expected to miss the 2026 Women's Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco after being ruled out through injury, a setback for the Super Falcons ahead of the continental tournament.
