Nigeria's Super Falcons defender Ashleigh Plumptre started her journey in the Saudi Arabia Women's League on a sound note as she played a vital role in Al Ittihad's comprehensive win over Eastern Flames, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

The left-footed player joined the Arabian side this summer after the expiration of her contract with the English women's side Leicester City Women team.

Saudi Women's League kick-off Saturday with Al Ittihad recording a 3-0 win over Eastern Flames.

Plumptre was the star of the game as she scored all the goals in the game to secure Al Ittihad's maximum points.
