Nigeria's Super Falcons midfielder, Christy Ucheibe, has once again tasted glory with Benfica, helping the club secure the 2024/25 Taça da Liga title with a hard-fought 2-1 victory over Sporting CP in Sunday’s final at Estádio Dr. Magalhães Pessoa, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

Sporting CP struck first in the 9th minute through Diana Silva, but Benfica responded in the 20th minute when Brazilian forward Lais found the back of the net.

The decisive moment came in the 88th minute, with Carole Costa scoring the winning goal to ensure Benfica retained their crown.

Ucheibe played the full match, playing a key role in Benfica’s latest triumph as she continues to add to her growing list of achievements with the club.

This victory marks Benfica’s fourth consecutive Taça da Liga title, extending their dominance in the competition since Braga last won it in the 2021/22 season.
