Super Falcons Observe Full Training On Sunday Ahead Olympics Opener Against Brazil

Two days after arriving in France, Nigeria’s Super Falcons will commence full training on Sunday in Bordeaux.
The training is ahead of Thursday’s crucial first match against Brazil in their opening Group C clash of the 2024 Paris Olympics Women’s Football Tournament.
The West Africans who landed in France in the wee hours of Thursday to the warm embrace of Ms Dorothy Akpama, Head of Chancery, Nigeria Embassy in France.
She welcomed the contingent on behalf of the Ambassador, had their regeneration routine yesterday at the team’s Hotel Mercure abode.
Also, head coach Randy Waldrum has magnanimously given the 18 players in Falcons new ‘nest’ Saturday as rest day to allow for full recovery from two weeks training in Seville, Spain and jet lag from the flight from Seville to Bordeaux.
The Super Falcons are returning to the Olympics after 16 years hiatus.
They have been drawn in a formidable Group C, alongside Spain, who are making their Olympics debut; two-time Silver medalists Brazil, and London 2012 Silver medalists Japan.
As one of Africa’s top women’s football teams, the Super Falcons are poised to make a significant impact in the tournament.

The squad, known for their resilience and skill, has been preparing intensively for the competition for past two weeks in Seville.
