Nigeria’s Super Falcons delivered a statement performance in the quarterfinals of the 2024 Women's Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON), thrashing Zambia 5–0 on Friday to seal a commanding passage into the semifinals.

Three first-half goals from Osinachi Ohale, Esther Okoronkwo, and Desire Oparanozie stand-in Chinwendu Ihezuo effectively ended Zambia’s hopes early. The Falcons maintained their dominance in the second half, with Tosin Demehin adding a fourth in the 68th minute, before substitute Folashade Ijamilusi sealed the win with a 91st-minute strike.

The result marked one of Nigeria’s most dominant displays in recent WAFCON history, showcasing the team’s depth, attacking flair, and defensive solidity.
