Brentford Women have confirmed the departure of Nigerian-eligible forward Habeebat Gbajabiamila following the conclusion of the 2025/26 season, bringing an end to her two-year association with the club, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

The announcement was made as part of a wider squad restructuring exercise, with Brentford confirming that 11 players will leave the club this summer ahead of preparations for the new campaign.

Gbajabiamila joined the West London side in the summer of 2024 and quickly became an integral part of the squad during one of the most successful periods in the club's recent history.

The talented attacker played her part in Brentford's memorable 2025 season, which saw the club secure both league and cup honours, further enhancing its growing reputation in the women's game.

Known for her pace, direct attacking style and ability to take on defenders in one-on-one situations, Gbajabiamila emerged as one of the youngest and most promising members of the squad during her time at the club.

Before joining Brentford, the 19-year-old spent seven years developing through the youth ranks at Crystal Palace, where she honed her skills before making the move across London in pursuit of further opportunities.

Away from football, Gbajabiamila also combined her sporting ambitions with academics, studying for a BTEC Level 3 qualification in Business while continuing her development as a player.

Her departure comes amid significant changes within the Brentford squad, with the club opting to reshape its roster ahead of the new season.

Also leaving the club are Khyri McKenzie, Cloe O'Brien, Esme Alaneme, Tiffany Balfour, Paula Holguin, Evie Witek, Carolin Engelhard, Kasha Petit, Rachel Dugdale and Kirsty Mathews.

Gbajabiamila's exit marks the end of a productive spell at Brentford, where she contributed to the club's success while continuing her growth as a young forward with a promising future.
