Super Falcons Star Duo Lead Besiktas Women To Victory

Besiktas Women's team secured a maximum points in the league on Sunday afternoon after a difficult win over Faith Vatan Spor, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

The duo of Vivian Ikechukwu and Glory Ogbonna were in action and gave a good account of themselves in the 2-1 win.

It was Vivian Ikechukwu who netted the opening goal in the 8th minute before the away side reduced the tally early in the second half.

Ogbonna netted the winning goal in the 88th minute to hand the host a 2-1 win in the keenly contested encounter.

Ogbonna was part of the Super Falcons team at the 2023 FIFA Women's World Cup in Australia and New Zealand while Vivian failed to make the team.
