By Our Reporter
Francisca Ordega has extended her influence beyond football by donating a hand-pump borehole water system to her hometown community of Mbatiav in Benue State, BSNSports.com.ng reports.
The Super Falcons forward undertook the initiative to address the long-standing challenge of access to clean and safe drinking water faced by residents of the community.
According to reports gathered from external sources, the project is expected to provide significant relief to families in the area who have struggled with water scarcity for years.
Speaking on the donation, Ordega expressed gratitude for the opportunity to support her community, emphasizing her commitment to giving back despite limited resources.
“I have donated a borehole to my community in Mbatiav, Gboko Local Government Area of Benue State. If you’re familiar with this community, access to water has been a significant challenge,” she said.
“As a daughter of the soil, I had to step in. Gold I do not have nor silver, but the little I have I make sure it gets to the right places. God bless my heart.”
The gesture has drawn praise from fans and community members, many of whom commended the football star for using her platform and resources to improve the living conditions of people in her hometown.
Widely regarded as one of Nigeria’s most experienced female footballers, Ordega continues to make an impact both on and off the pitch through her contributions to community development and social welfare initiatives.
