Super Falcons forward Esther Okoronkwo has been named AFC Toronto’s Player of the Month for September following a string of outstanding performances, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

The 27-year-old was in scintillating form, scoring four goals and providing two assists in four appearances for the Canadian club during the month.

Okoronkwo netted the decisive goal in a hard-fought 1–0 win over Halifax, before bagging a brace and an assist in the team’s emphatic 7–0 victory against Vancouver.

She also found the back of the net in the return fixture with Halifax, which ended 1–1, securing a vital point for her side.

She capped off a remarkable month by assisting the only goal in AFC Toronto’s 1–0 triumph over Ottawa. Okoronkwo will look to maintain her impressive form for both club and country as the international break approaches.
