Nigeria's Super Falcons attacker Monday Gift has sent an emotional farewell message to her former club FC Robo of Lagos, BSNSports.com.ng report.

The skilful forward who has been on the payroll of the Lagos-based team broke into the limelight last season as she played an active role in Bayelsa Queens emerging as the winner of the Super 6.

She joined Bayelsa Queens on loan and she was able to score 9 goals in the Super 6.

The performance earned her a call-up to the national team and she was able to play her part in Super Falcon's qualification for the 2023 FIFA World Cup that will be co-hosted by Australia and New Zealand.

Gift secured a deal with the Spanish Iberdrola club UDG Tenerife and she officially joined the club last week.

She sent a goodbye message through her social media handle where she was able to thank the entire team for their support

" Everything that has a beginning has an end. My journey and chapter at FC Robo have come to an end.

Beyond the shadow of a doubt, my journey for the past half year has been the most amazing year of my life.

I came here as a young girl which instilled in me so many essential values that make me mature as a lady and the player I am today.

I'm eternally grateful to Robo Queens and the entire management especially manager Emmanuel Osahon who always treat me like his own during the journey.

Thanks to my teammates and the entire staff at Robo from the bottom of my heart.

I made great memories and great colleagues which I will cherish forever.

Thank you to the Robo nation, I will forever be a proud Robo product and good ambassador", she stated.
