The Super Falcons of Nigeria delivered a commanding second-half performance to defeat Senegal’s Teranga Lionesses 3-0 in the second of two international friendly matches at the Remo Stars Stadium on Monday, BSNSportscom.ng reports.

After a tight and goalless first half, the nine-time African champions found their attacking rhythm after the break, overwhelming their opponents in front of a vocal home crowd.

Nigeria broke the deadlock in the 48th minute when Shukurat Oladipo whipped in a precise cross, allowing Omewa to rise and power a clinical header into the net for the opening goal.

The hosts doubled their lead just seven minutes later.

Omewa displayed excellent strength and composure, shrugging off Senegalese defenders before calmly slotting home her second goal of the evening to complete a well-deserved brace.

The Super Falcons put the result beyond doubt in the 66th minute. Captain Rasheedat Ajibade produced a surging run down the flank and delivered a perfect pass to substitute Asisat Oshoala, who had come on for Omewa.

The prolific striker made no mistake, calmly finishing to seal Nigeria’s 3-0 victory.

The result caps a strong showing for the Super Falcons in the double-header against Senegal, highlighting their attacking depth and clinical edge in the second half.
