Dakar, Senegal has been announced as the host of the 2022 African Zone 2 Swimming Championship, BSNsports.com.ng can report.


After staging 2005, 2011, 2016, 2018 and 2020 editions, Senegal will host for the 6th time the African Zone 2 Championships, which is made up of West and Central African countries.


 Of the 23 countries in Zone 2, 20 have already confirmed their participation, according to the vice-president of the Senegalese Swimming and Rescue Federation (FSNS), Amadou Lamine Ndoye.


Ghana hosted and won the last edition with 49 medals, including 21 gold, 16 silver and 12 bronze.


This competition, which is in its 8th edition, will take place from May 27 to 29, at the National Olympic Pool in Dakar.
