Swiss Public Prosecutor Halts Legal Proceedings Against CAF General Secretary

CAF's media department has confirmed that the Swiss Public Prosecutor has decided to cease all legal proceedings against CAF's Secretary General, Veron Mosengo-Omba, effective immediately, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

Mosengo-Omba, originally from DR Congo, had been under investigation since 2024 following allegations of mismanagement of funds.

After thorough investigations and consultations, the authorities found no evidence or legal grounds to pursue further action.

CAF expressed its satisfaction with the decision, emphasizing its commitment to upholding ethics, transparency, and good governance, which have been core principles since Dr. Patrice Motsepe's presidency.
