T20i Invitational Tournament Has Helped Improve Facilities - NCF President

The President of the Nigeria Cricket Federation ( NCF) Uyi Akpata has stated that the just concluded women's T20i Invitational Tournament has played a major role in the development of facilities in the country, BSNSports.com.ng report.

The Nigerian team at the Tafawa Balewa cricket oval in Lagos defeated the defending champions Rwanda by 9 runs to win the tournament.

While speaking on the tournament, the president acknowledged that the tournament has helped improve the facilities across the country.

 â€œWe have better facilities now, we now have seven turf crickets from zero about four years ago", he said.

This year’s edition featured Ghana, Cameroon, Sierra Leone, Rwanda, and host Nigeria.
