Tanzania Premier League To Implement VAR In August

While some much-established leagues like the Nigeria Premier Football League don't have it on their agenda, Tanzania Premier League has decided to kick start the use of the Video Assistant Referee, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

VAR was introduced into the game by FIFA to reduce errors in the game, especially in deciding a goal or a goal-bound move.

North African countries and South Africa have started using the gadgets since last season while the Ivorian league has also said they will start next season. 

The Tanzania Premier League on Monday afternoon announced that the VAR will be in use when the 2024/2025 league season commences in August 2024.
