Task Force Explains What They Will Do To Force Amaju Pinnick Board To Resign

The Secretary, Task Force of Professional Footballers Association of Nigeria (PFAN), Edema Fuludu has explained steps the group Is talking to force Amaju Pinnick led NFF to resign, BSNSports.com.ng can report.

Speaking exclusively with BSN Sports, the former Super Eagles winger stated that the Presidency and the Ministry of Sports are aware of the steps to achieve the set target will commence from Monday, 11 April. He added that letter has been sent to the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) headquarters in Abuja urging the board to tender their resignations before next Monday. He threatened that failure to do so will force the Task Force into talking steps that will force them to do the honourable thing.

"Almost eveyone is sad and unhappy with the leadership of the NFF because of the waste of resuorces in the last 8 years and partiicularly failure to go to the World Cup. At this time, it will be honourable for Amaju Pinnick led NFF to resign but because we Nigeriand and not willing to do what is honourable, we are bringing this issue to the public because it has affected the development of football in Nigeria. For us, we have our card that we want to play and after one week of issuance of the letter and if nothing happens before on the 11th we will come out with the alternative." Fuludu told BSN Sports.

He continues, "The entire board has failed Nigerians and should resign. If the board has been unable to tell the President the truth for Right years, then, they are not fit to occupy that seat.

He added, "He (Pinnick) has been using Nigeria for his personal achievement at the detriment of the game. His individual achievement has no bearing whatsoever in football development but rather the game of football in Nigeria has declined since he assumed office. We have spoken to him in private and done everything for him to change approach to football development. Even football development money that comes from FIFA and CAF are not felt anywhere in the development of the game. And he still went ahead to collect money from sponsors and Federal Government. Despite all these monies, football in Nigeria is declining.

"We have written to the Presidency and copied the Ministry of Sports, so, the Presidency and the Ministry are all aware of our moves.

Pinnick is the first NFF President where Super Eagles failed to qualify for the African Nations Cup back to back in 2015 and 2017 and now, Nigeria failed to qualify for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.
