Angola’s exit from the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) has sparked growing tension, with reports indicating that the national team’s technical crew and players are set to face a formal probe over the country’s disappointing campaign, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

According to sources, the entire squad has been instructed to return to Luanda as a group following their early elimination from the tournament.

Upon arrival, they are expected to appear before the country’s leadership to account for their failure to progress to the round of 16.

The development has reportedly created unease within the camp, as several players are said to be unhappy with the directive.

Some members of the squad are believed to prefer returning directly to their respective clubs, rather than traveling back collectively with the team to face questioning at home.

Angola’s premature exit has drawn criticism from fans and stakeholders, particularly given the expectations placed on the team ahead of the tournament.

The forthcoming meeting is expected to review the team’s overall performance, technical decisions, and preparation, as authorities seek explanations for the early departure.

As the situation unfolds, uncertainty remains over whether all players will comply with the directive, further underlining the tense atmosphere surrounding Angola’s AFCON 2025 campaign.
