Terem Moffi Demands Contract Termination
Ibrahim Lateef
After enduring six weeks of sick leave due to an assault by supporters, Super Eagles striker Terem Moffi has officially filed a complaint with the Professional Football League’s legal committee, demanding the termination of his contract with OGC Nice, reports BSNSports.com.ng.
French news outlet L'Équipe confirms that Moffi’s request is based on the failure of the club to ensure his safety and well-being.
The Professional Football League's legal committee will review the case on Thursday.
In the midst of the ongoing turmoil at Nice, which has faced a series of internal crises, this incident stands out.
On the night of November 30th, following a disappointing 3-1 loss in Lorient, the situation escalated dramatically.
Outside the training ground, Nice supporters viciously attacked several team members, with Jeremie Boga and Terem Moffi among those targeted by insults, spitting, and physical assault.
Both players, still grappling with the trauma, have had their sick leave extended.
