The Qualified Eight Clubs And Their Countries For BAL Playoffs In Kigali

After a month plus action in the Sahara and Nile Conferences of the Basketball Africa League (BAL) in Dakar and Cairo, the 8 teams that secured their spots in the most sought-after playoffs in May in Kigali have been confirmed, BSNSports.com.ng reports.


Four teams from each Conference of the Basketball Africa League (BAL)

Secured their place in the upcoming BAL in the final tournament in Kigali.


The Sahara Conference which took place in Dakar Senegal saw teams like Rwanda Energy Group, US Monastir, AS Salé and SLAC basketball clubs qualifying for the final 8.


In the Nile Conference which took place in Cairo, Reigning BAL champions Zamalek along with Petro de Luanda, Cape Town Tigers and FAP all advanced to the playoff in Kigali.


The BAL tournament which is a 12 teams tournament was played in two Conferences involving Six teams each with the top 4 of each Conference qualifying to battle for the trophy.


Below are the eight teams that will battle for the second edition of the Basketball Africa League (BAL) title in Kigali.


1. Zamalek (Egypt )

2. REG ( Rwanda )

3. Petro de Luanda (Angola )

4 US Monastir (Tunisia )

5. AS Salé ( Morocco)

6. Cape Town Tigers ( South Africa )

7. SLAC (Guinea )

8. FAP ( Cameroon )
