The Quality Of African Football Has Improved - Ghana's Coach

The head coach of the Black Stars of Ghana, Chris Hughton has said the quality of play in Africa has improved tremendously, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

Former Wolverhampton Wanderer boss emerged as the coach of Ghana in March after the exit of Daniel Addo.

"One thing I have seen during the travels on the games we’ve played is that the level of the African countries now in football has improved absolutely no doubt," he told Talksports.

He attributed this improvement to enhanced infrastructure and the higher standard at which African players perform, both at club and international levels.

Hughton expressed his conviction that the quality of the AFCON will continue to rise as a result.

Ghana currently topped their group in the qualifier only a positive against the Central African Republic on the final day of the qualifier to secure its spot in AFCON 2023.
