U20 AFCON Third Best Team, Flying Eagles Arrive In Nigeria

Bronze medallist in the just concluded CAF U20 African Nations Cup in Egypt have landed in Lagos, BSNSports.com.ng can report.

The team departed Egypt on Sunday night and arrived Lagos, Nigeria 5:00am in the early hours of Monday aboard Royal Air Maroc from Casablanca.

The seven times African champions departed Egypt after Nigeria Ambassador to Egypt, Ambassador Nura Abba Rimi hosted them at the Town Hall of the embassy on Saturday.

The team won bronze medal and Fair Play award while two members of the team (Solomon Agbalaka and Njoku) made the Starting XI Team of The Tournament.

Three Flying Eagles goals also made Top 10 Goals of The Tournament.

Nigeria beat Tunisia 4-0 to win the Third Place game while the champions, Senegal defeated Gambia 2-0 to lift the trophy.

Nigeria, Senegal, Tunisia and Gambia will fly African flag at the FIFA U20 World Cup in Indonesia in May this year.
