The skipper of the Teranga Lions of Senegal Khalidou Koulibaly has said this year's African Cup of Nations will be the best in history, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

The former Chelsea defender was instrumental in Senegal winning the last edition in Cameroon and believes it will be more difficult this time.

“I think that the Ivory Coast edition will be the best in the history of the competition because all the big teams are present and are fully prepared.

" It will show the true image of African football, and I think that whoever wins the title in the end will deserve it", he said.

Senegal will face Gambia in the opening group game before facing the Indomitable Lions of Cameroon in the second match.
