Thomas Partey Misses Out of Ghana Squad for AFCON

The Black Stars of Ghana will be without the services of Thomas Partey at the 2023 AFCON 2023 in neighbouring Côte d’Ivoire, BSNSports.com.ng reports. 

The Arsenal midfielder underwent a procedure on a thigh injury in November. 

Ghana coach Chris Hughton says: “The timelines of his recovery will not meet our timelines for the AFCON.”

Also, Partey is expected to stay in London to recover. Other Ghanaian internationals such as; Kofi Kyereh, Kamaldeen Sulemana, Joseph Aidoo and Tariq Lamptey will miss out due to injury.
