In the recognition to their excellent contributions and commitment to the growth and development of sports in the country, the son of Nigeria President, Seyi Tinubu, Kebbi State Governor, Nasir Idris, Kwara State Governor, Abdulrahman Abdulrazak, Nigeria Football Federation President, Ibrahim Gusau, Founder Naija Ratels, Barrister Paul Edeh, former Super Eagles Striker, Benedict Akwuegbu, Chairman Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL), Gbenga Elegbeleye and 15 others will be honoured with different categories of sports awards.

Others are: Super Eagles captain, Ahmed Musa, Super Falcons captain to the 2023 FIFA Women's World Cup, Onome Ebi, Nigeria Volleyball Federal President, Musa Nimrod, Sam Ogbuche, Mahmud Hadejia, Prince Ogunjinmi Abayomi, Chikelue Iloenyonsi.

 The award ceremony will hold later this month at the Merit House, Maitama Abuja.

Tagged Sports Legendary Awards, the nominees were carefully selected having contributed immensely the development of sports in Nigeria.

Outstanding Nigerian sports men and women who have excelled in their respective sporting events would be recognized and honoured with the Sport Legendary Awards, Northern Nigeria 2023, Season 3 - an initiative of an award organization which identifies, nominate, celebrate and honour our distinguished Sporting Heroes, Pacesetters, Corporate Organizations and Stakeholders in various sports in Nigeria and across the globe, both in the past and present through outstanding character with good track record of administrative efficiency and humanitarian disposition in the sporting industry.

The Kingdom Star Sports international foundation is the organisation that managed Sports Legendary Awards, which is conceptualized with the vision to be the rallying point and the most prestigious recognition for Nigerian sport personalities who have performed excellently well in their respective sports thereby flying the flag of the country high in either local and international sports competition.

It is particularly, important to note that the uniqueness of the Sport Legendary Awards, Northern Nigeria 2023, Season 3, is infact all encompassing and not restricted to any particular sport thereby promoting the other sports to promote development.
