Tinubu Backs Super Eagles Ahead of Morocco Clash After Algeria Victory

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has praised the Super Eagles for their impressive performance in the ongoing 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) campaign, following their victory over Algeria, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

The president commended the national team for their spirited display, describing the performance as inspiring to Nigerians at home and abroad.

Tinubu conveyed his message of support on Saturday evening through his official X (formerly Twitter) handle, @officialABAT, shortly after the team’s latest outing.

“Brilliant performance… Inspiring. Go, Super Eagles! You have the support of all Nigerians,” the president wrote.

Nigeria, three-time AFCON champions, secured a 2–0 win over Algeria, with goals from Victor Osimhen and Akor Adams sealing the Super Eagles’ place in the semi-finals.

The Super Eagles are set to face Morocco in the semi-final encounter scheduled for Wednesday.
