With six rounds of fixtures remaining in the Nigeria Professional Football League season, the race for the title, continental qualification, and survival remains remarkably open, underlining one of the most competitive campaigns in recent history, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

After 32 weeks of action, no club has secured the championship, confirmed a continental berth, or been mathematically relegated. The tight margins across the table reflect a season defined by unpredictability, fluctuating form, and intense competition.

The current campaign has delivered a blend of drama and unexpected narratives. Early pace-setters Nasarawa United and Abia Warriors emerged as unlikely frontrunners and remain firmly in contention for continental qualification.

At the same time, traditional heavyweights such as Kano Pillars and Enyimba FC have struggled, finding themselves embroiled in an unanticipated relegation battle. For Enyimba, a long-standing pillar of Nigerian top-flight football, the situation is particularly striking.
