The Nigeria Women Football League (NWFL) Premiership delivered an action-packed Matchday 13 on Wednesday, April 1, with decisive victories, late drama, and standout individual performances recorded across multiple centres, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

In Uyo, Ibom Angels secured a narrow but significant 1–0 victory over Rivers Angels, thanks to an early strike from Mariam Okocha in the seventh minute. The hosts held firm for the remainder of the encounter to claim all three points.

Abia Angels continued their impressive form with a 2–0 win against Nasarawa Amazons in Aba. Winner David opened the scoring in the 36th minute before Chinaza Enuma doubled the advantage shortly after the restart, sealing a comfortable victory for the home side.

Bayelsa Queens left it late in Ibadan, edging Pacesetter Queens 1–0. Glory Edet’s decisive goal in the 80th minute proved enough to separate both teams in a tightly contested fixture.

There was late drama in Makwada, where Adamawa Queens and Edo Queens played out a 1–1 draw. Edo Queens appeared set for victory after Atume Doosuur’s 82nd-minute opener, but Katon Waken converted a stoppage-time penalty to rescue a point for the hosts.

Heartland Queens secured a commanding 2–0 win over Naija Ratels in Owerri. Faith Samson opened the scoring from the penalty spot in the 24th minute, while Oluebube Umejiaku added a second nine minutes later to wrap up the result.

In Lagos, FC Robo Queens recorded a 2–0 victory against Dannaz Ladies. Early pressure paid off as Opeyemi Ajakaye struck in the seventh minute, and Esther Onyenezide extended the lead just before halftime.

Confluence Queens also claimed maximum points with a 2–1 win over Delta Queens in Iyamho. Ijeoma Ibe and Marvelous Ebube gave the hosts a two-goal cushion before Temitope Aweda pulled one back late on for the visitors.

The standout performance of the day came in Ikenne, where Remo Stars Ladies delivered a dominant 5–1 victory over Osun Babes. Hannah Ibrahim scored twice in a blistering first-half display, with additional goals from Chiamaka Ojialor, Blessed Isigbo, and Kehinde Deborah completing the rout. Ebunoluwa Akinola scored the lone goal for Osun Babes.

With crucial points secured across the board, the results add further intensity to the league standings as the NWFL Premiership season progresses. Matchday 13 action continues on Thursday with more fixtures expected to shape the race for top positions.
