Toure Advises Elephants On How To Stop Super Eagles Rampaging Players

Ahead of the final of the 2023 African Cup of Nations, former Ivorian defender, Kolo Toure, has offered advice to the players of the Elephants on how to stop Super Eagles rampaging players, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

The 2015 winning captain admitted that the Super Eagles are very quick in transition due to the presence of Victor Osimhen, Ademola Lookman and Moses Simon.

But told his countrymen to keep their eye on them throughout the game.

" Nigeria changed their shape, playing a 5-4-1 defensively and a 3-4-3 offensively, which really disturbed us. We never found the solution to stop them from hitting us on the counter attack.

"With Victor Osimhen up front, and Moses Simon and Ademola Lookman (out wide), they are dangerous in transition.

"We need speed at the back because as soon as Nigeria get the ball, they will look for Osimhen who is super quick - he may have scored only once so far, but what he brings to that team is incredible", he told BBC Sports.
