Tragedy: Referee Dies During Game

The football world was thrown into another moment of mourning on Friday following the demise of a Uganda referee, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

Peter Kabugo was in charge of a Premier League game between SC Villa and UPDF on Friday afternoon.

But midway into the game, the centre referee collapsed and eventually died despite all the efforts by the medics, according to Rwanda journalist Eric Ndagijimana.

The Uganda Football Federation is yet to release an official statement concerning the development.
