Transfer: Akinkunmi Amoo Completes AC Omonia Nicosia Move

Danish side FC Copenhagen has confirmed the departure of Nigeria's former Golden Eaglets star Akinkunmi Amoo, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

The left-footed player joined the Danish side in 2021 but he was unable to secure regular playing time due to a loss of form and consistent injury.

Amoo has been undergoing trials with Omonia Nicosia in the last few months but Copenhagen eventually announced his departure on Wednesday.

"Nigerian winger Akinkunmi Amoo has joined Cypriot side AC Omonia Nicosia permanently with immediate effect," Copenhagen said

Omonia Nicosia also announced his arrival through its official website.

 â€œWe have reached an agreement with FC Copenhagen to sign 21-year-old Nigerian winger, Akinkunmi Amoo.

“The contract is for three years. The footballer started his career at Hammarby IF and a year and a half later he transferred to FC Copenhagen.

“We welcome Akinkumni Amoo to the OMONIA family and wish him every success", the club statement read.
