Transfer: Inter Milan Complete Signing of Super Falcons Star Toni Payne

Italian women's football club Inter Milan have announced the signing of Super Falcons forward Toni Payne on a three-year contract that will keep her at the club until June 30, 2028, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

The Nerazzurri confirmed the arrival of the 30-year-old Nigerian international following the expiration of her spell with English Women's Super League side Everton.

Born on April 22, 1995, in Birmingham, Alabama, to Nigerian parents, Payne began her football career alongside her siblings, Nicole and Stephen Payne, who have also represented Nigeria at international level.

After developing in the United States, Payne moved to Europe, featuring for Ajax before joining Spanish club Sevilla in 2018.

She enjoyed a successful six-year spell with the Liga F side, making 168 appearances and scoring 30 goals to establish herself as one of the league's most consistent attacking players.

She joined Everton in 2024 and now begins a new chapter in Italy with Inter Milan ahead of the 2026/27 season.

On the international stage, Payne initially represented the United States at youth level before switching allegiance to Nigeria.

Since making her Super Falcons debut in 2021, she has become an important member of the national team, bringing versatility, creativity and experience to the squad.

Inter Milan will be hoping Payne's quality and international pedigree will bolster their attack as they aim for a successful campaign in the upcoming season.
