Transfer News: Ndidi Not For Sale - Nistelrooy Asserts
Sampson Adedeji
Leicester City manager, Ruud Van Nistelrooy, has firmly stated that Nigerian midfielder Wilfred Ndidi is not for sale, despite recent transfer rumors, the assertion comes after French club AS Monaco reportedly made an offer for the player, BSNSports.com.ng reports.
During a press conference on Friday, the Dutch manager dismissed the speculation, reinforcing that Ndidi remains an essential part of the team. Ndidi, who recently signed a new three-year contract with an option for an additional year, played a crucial role in Leicester's promotion back to the Premier League and is seen as a key figure in their squad.
When asked about the possibility of Ndidi leaving, Van Nistelrooy responded, "No, of course not."
"Wilfred is a vital player and a crucial part of the squad. We're pleased he's almost ready to return from his hamstring injury and rejoin the team," the manager continued.
"We've missed him, and we know how important he is. Wilfred will be vital in the coming months as we look to turn our season around," he added.
