Transfer Update: Afeez Aremu To Remain At Kaiserslautern As Move To Russia Falls Through

Nigeria's Super Eagles and Kaiserslautern midfielder, Afeez Aremu, will remain with his German club after negotiations for a move to Russian Premier League side FCK Akhmat collapsed, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

FCK Akhmat had been in talks with Kaiserslautern for several weeks regarding a potential transfer, but according to German journalist @NEWS_FCK1900, the deal has officially fallen through.

During the negotiations, Aremu was training separately from the squad, but he will now have to reintegrate with the team to reclaim his place in the lineup.

 "Afeez Aremu remains under contract with FCK. Negotiations with FCK Akhmat have failed," the journalist stated.

"He has been training individually but has occasionally been spotted in the team’s dressing room," he added.

Kaiserslautern also confirmed that Aremu had been absent from team training due to contract discussions.

"He must first catch up before being considered for a matchday squad," the report concluded.
