Transfer Update: Akwa United Forward Complete Iraq Move

Even though Nigeria Premier Football League is ongoing, Akwa United forward Ndifreke Effiong has decided to join a club in Iraq, BSNSports.com.ng has gathered.

Effiong returned to Nigeria a few months back after the expiration of his contract with the Libyan side Ahly Benghazi.

He was in action for the Promise Keepers and got a brace in their 0-3 away win against Nasarawa United.

Iraq league side Air Forces Sports Club announced his arrival through its official handle alongside the Ghanaian player.

"A Nigerian and a Ghanaian arrived in Baghdad to represent the Falcons.

The media spokesperson for Al-Quwa Al-Jawiya Sports Club announced the arrival of Nigerian striker Ndifreke Effiong and Ghanaian midfielder Avri Akwa to represent the first team in the premier league and Iraqi competitions", the club said.
