Transfer Update: Basel Reject €3m Saudi Offer For Super Eagles Winger Otele

Swiss club FC Basel have rejected a €3 million offer from Saudi Arabian side Al-Fateh for Nigeria international winger Philip Otele, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

Basel are reportedly holding out for a €4 million fixed transfer fee before they will consider sanctioning the departure of the Super Eagles winger.

Otele has already reached an agreement on personal terms with Al-Fateh, leaving negotiations between the two clubs as the major stumbling block to the proposed transfer.

The Nigerian winger has attracted interest from the Saudi club following his performances for Basel, but a deal will only be completed if Al-Fateh improve their offer to meet Basel's valuation.

The coming days could prove decisive as negotiations continue between the two clubs over the potential move.
