Transfer Update: Besiktas Open Discussion With Southampton For Onuachu

Turkish Super Lig club Besiktas has entered the race to sing Nigeria's Super Eagles forward Paul Onuachu, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

The lanky attacker returned to his parent club Southampton at the end of this season following the expiration of his loan spell with Trabzonspor.

Trabzonspor showed interest in having him for next season but the price tag of the Premier League side seems to have put them off.

Their acquisition of another Nigerian forward Anthony Nwakaeme during the week drastically reduced the chances of Onuachu returning to the club.

Besiktas management on Saturday started their approach to sign the Nigeria international.

Despite, the Saint's return to the Premier League, the chances of Onuachu staying at St Mary remained very slim.
