Transfer Update: Besiktas Rejects Ajax Approach for Wilfred Ndidi

Turkish Super Lig giants Besiktas have turned down an approach from Dutch champions Ajax for Super Eagles captain Wilfred Ndidi, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

Ajax had proposed a €2 million loan deal with an option to buy the Nigerian midfielder for €12 million, but Besiktas rejected the offer outright, insisting the former Leicester City star is not for sale.

Ndidi only joined the Istanbul-based club last summer from English Championship side Leicester City and has quickly become a key figure in Besiktas’ midfield setup, making him central to the club’s long-term sporting project.

The 29-year-old has also continued to play a crucial role for Nigeria on the international stage, playing a pivotal part in the Super Eagles’ third-place finish at the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco.

With the January transfer window progressing, Besiktas remain firm in their stance, making it clear they have no intention of weakening their squad by sanctioning Ndidi’s departure.
