English Premier League side Bournemouth has made an official approach to Serie A club Udinese for Nigerian international goalkeeper Maduka Okoye, BSNSports.com.ng reports.
Okoye, 24, has cemented his place as the first-choice goalkeeper at Udinese and has caught the eye with his performances this season.
Notably, he was on the radar of Serie A powerhouse AC Milan during last summer’s transfer window.
With Kepa Arrizabalaga set to return to Chelsea at the end of the season, Bournemouth is actively seeking a replacement, and Okoye has emerged as a prime target.
The Nigerian shot-stopper has kept three clean sheets in 19 appearances this campaign and is currently valued at around €7 million.
He has three years left on his contract with the Italian club.
