Transfer Update: CSKA Regret Ejuke's Departure

Russia Premier League side CSKA Moscow has lamented the impending departure of Super Eagles winger Bright Ejuke from the club," BSNsports.com.ng has gathered.

Ejuke joined the Russian side from Dutch Eredivisie side Heerenveen in 2020 and he has been amazing for the club.

Speculations came up last week surrounding the future of the player and he has been touted to be on his way to the German Bundesliga side Hertha Berlin.

CSKA Moscow came out through its news outlets on Monday to confirm and regret the departure of Ejuke and his colleague.

"Striker Chidera Ejuke and midfielder Arnor Sigurdsson have taken advantage of a FIFA amendment allowing them to unilaterally suspend their contract with the club until June 30, 2023. 

"PFC CSKA regrets the decision of the players, which was made despite the club's efforts and contractual obligations. As we reported earlier, PFC CSKA plans to apply to the courts to protect its interests in connection with the decision of FIFA, which we consider discriminatory and contrary to the charter of this organization," the club said.
