Transfer Update: Championship Side Capture Super Eagles Midfielder On Loan

English Championship club Coventry City FC have confirmed the loan signing of Super Eagles midfielder Frank Onyeka from Premier League side Brentford FC, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

The Sky Blues announced the arrival of the industrious midfielder on Monday evening, strengthening their squad as they push for a strong second-half campaign in the Championship.

"Coventry City FC is delighted to announce the signing of Frank Onyeka on loan from Brentford FC,” the club said in an official statement.

Onyeka joined Brentford in 2021 and went on to make 87 appearances for the Bees across all competitions, establishing himself as a reliable presence in midfield with his energy, ball recovery, and tactical discipline.

The Nigerian international was also part of the Super Eagles squad at the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco, further underlining his experience at the highest level.

His arrival is expected to add steel, intensity, and top-flight experience to Coventry City’s midfield as the club targets a strong finish in the Championship season.
